Cosko has active ingredient Chlorantraniliprole, an insecticide of the Ryanoid class. It binds to ryanodine receptors in muscle cells causing the channel to open and release calcium ions (Ca+2) from internal stores into the cytoplasm causing muscle paralysis and ultimately death by starvation of the target pest.

Chlorantraniliprole belongs to a new class of selective insecticides featuring a novel mode of action to control a range of pests belonging to the order Lepidoptera and some other pest species.
